What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is a revolutionary hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment. Profhilo is injected into specific points around the face to deliver high doses of Hyaluronic acid, which will result in improved skin tone, skin texture, hydration and overall radiance. It is the treatment of choice to help those who would like to improve collagen and elastin production which will result in softer healthier looking skin. Profhilo is most commonly used in the facial areas but can also be used to rejuvenate the neck, décolletage and hands. It is widely regarded  as a skin booster as it does just that, Profholo intensely replenishes the skin, rehydrates dull and dehydrated complexions and boosts skin elasticity. The results are very subtle which is why it is a great alternative to dermal fillers. Profhilo has been used in throughout Europe since 2015.

How often should I have treatment?

​Prohfilo is a 2-step treatment, done at 4-6 weeks apart. It is then recommended that you repeat the process at 6 to 12 months for lifelong results.

Does it hurt?

​​There is minimal discomfort with a Profhilo treatment. The product is injected into 5 points around the left and the right side of the face. A gentle massage will be done after all areas have been injected. You may feel some small bumps under the skin at the points of injection however they will disappear over a few days after treatment.

What are the side effects of a a Profhilo treatment?

​​As mentioned, you can expect small bumps at the injection site and some mild redness which will be easily covered with makeup. It is considered as a walk in walk out treatment with little to no downtime. There is a small risk of bruising from a Profhilo treatment. Debbie will call or message the day after treatment to make sure that all is settling well.

What should I do or not do after treatment?

​​The advice is to leave the areas well alone but do go ahead with your normal skin care regime. I would advise against going to the gym and partaking in a heavy gym session. Gentle walking and gentle exercise is advisable.

How long does the treatment take?

​​Consultation and treatment can be made on the same day. The treatment will generally take no more than 20 minutes to do. I would allow for and hour as after treatment a gentle massage to the skin is preformed to ensure good coverage of the Profhilo to the whole face.
